Bottle Crushing

We have managed to increase the output of the glass crusher from 600kg per hour to 850kg per hour by braking the bottles proir to feeding them into the hopper. We have found that it is not necessary to remove the labels and the plastic or "lead" rings around the tops of the wine bottles. These go through the crusher and can be seperated from the sand during the screening process if required.

Sometimes people bend their beer tops and put them into the empty bottles and these also go through the machine quite easily. We put some nails and screws inside a bottle and a Red Bull tin through the machine without any problem.
